You may be familiar with other online art education platforms, where you can pay a subscription or per-course fee to learn from other artists, often with a hybrid of video lessons and live meetings with an instructor. This will be similar, but embedded in our unique community—and it can’t be overstated how valuable taking a course with peers in a community can be! We have community members who love to teach, from comic book artists to digital and traditional painters. When we learn together, we are building the DNA of who we are as a community and creating a rising tide that raises all ships. 
 

To kick things off, we did a free teaser session, The Mannequin: The Secret Skill to Drawing Comics Quickly, and you can get access to that recorded session when you subscribe to our site. Next is the four-part course with the same instructor, Brian Atkins, titled: Comic Art Visual Storytelling. The structure is 45 minutes of lecture followed by 45 minutes of application and hands-on help from the instructor. There will be a private section on the Clever Kaiju Discord for those that have participated in the lab, and the lectures will be recorded so that you can reference them as needed, and the recordings can be downloaded, yours to keep forever.  Please reach out if you have any questions and thank you for being a part of what we are doing!
